Hash Narrative
What a glorious day for a Hash, and the promise of “Run from one of the year” from the Hare “Cabin Boy” !!!!
A good turn out of 24 made their way to Churriana, Google maps and H-H-H signs worked a treat so everybody made it to the run in good time.
With limbering up and stretching completed a circle was called by his GM-nuss “Kinder garden Kop” we had visitors from Ibiza “Funki Gibbon” and “Organ Arse” from Australia brought in to say Hello and introduce ourselves, next in was the Hares ----- well all 3 of them, on seeing “Cabin Boy” hobble in and “Mummies Boy” wobble in was getting quite obvious that the real Hare was the third one “Just say When”,(an outrageous slander - ed.) with markings explained and that there was going to be two drink stops, things where looking very promising.
Hash photo taken it was On On and off down the road to the first check, it seemed to take ages to get us going but after a while we were off into some urban shrub land for a few loops --- a false trail under the road saw “King Kanut” and “Rub Her Turd” vanish off into the woods! Kanut made it back but that was the end of RHT, never to be seen again, I hope he stopped whenhe reached the sea?
The real trail took us under the road via a drain pipe, more split trails had the pack spread out, our visitor “Funki Gibbon” was one of the lone runners and was doing most of the checking!! On up was the next shout as the trail made its way up the hill or as “JSW” would say “Gradient” this was more like the hash trails we are used to, narrow paths in wooded area, great stuff, the flour was a little sparse, but the hares said they had used 10 bags? How did they know how many bags “JSW” had used?
Once we reached the peak a cheeky “Back check” had the hash making their way down the hill again to a spectacular “Beer Stop”. With the back drop of Malaga Airport on one side and a 100 metre vertical drop on the other, definitely one of our most memorable drink stops we have had in a while. The Hares had forgone with the traditional Crisps (Fact Check - Crisps were provided, all 8 packs, hashers did not touch them - ed.) and we were treated to a healthy dip with carrots and celery, oranges and mangos were also offered to the ravenous hashes. This was washed down with Beer and Cava!!! “Run of the year” well it was very good so far!
On On was called and off the pack headed down the hill, near the bottom we met up with Stiffanny, Happy Ending, Seaman Stains (Short cutters) and all their dogs! A re-group was called and “JSW” advised that the trail went off up the hill on the other side of the road! This was the opposite way to home but they mentioned another drink stop, so off we set. This was a big mistake as it turned out to be a massive loop and after a 15 minute run we were back at nearly the same spot we had set off from, but now the hash table was out and more Cava was on offer!!
From here it was a leisurely jaunt back in, once across the main road an “ON IN” sign indicated we were nearly home, not a bad run at all!
The circle was called. Anniversaries were called in for a complimentary down down. Visitors were asked to recall 3 hashes names from the group, which was achieved with ease.
Stand in RA “Rob the Knob” dished out drinks to the reprobates who had sinned. The circle had to be cut a little short as the Hares were trying to us all to the restaurant before it closed for lunch!
All in all it was a great hash run, memorable drink stops, brilliant weather, and a good crowd of hashers.
The Hares were given a 9.2 for the run! Run of the year? Sorry if it was a week earlier it may have been in contention, but unfortunately a run had been nominated at the last committee meeting! Better luck next year.

This run has been months in preparation with a massive research and development effort by your hares. Special features include abundant paved off street parking. Bring your Audi, Lexus, Porche, Mecedes Benz or BMW and be confident that not one drop of mud or stray bramble will mark your paintwork.
Your circle will take place in a magnificent amphitheatre with comfortable seating for all hashers. Mouthwatering refreshments, made possible by your generous committee, will be provided at a Cava stop and a Beer stop. That’s right. Two refreshment stops!

Proceed to MA 21.
Continue on MA 21 and exit for the A404 at Churriana. This is the Ikea exit.
Join Carretera de Coin (A404), cross roundabout 1 (Burger King) and continue WNW.
Stay on Carretera de Coin (A404) crossing roundabout 2 (BP Service Station) and continuing WNW.
Cross roundabout 3 (Autos Galeri) and continue on Carretera de Coin (A404) until roundabout 4.
At Roundabout 4 take the second exit continuing to the west on a narrowed Carretera de Coin (Not the A404).
After 1 km continue past Meson Asador Vinolo lying on your left.
Continue on Carretera de Coin for about 500m through a forested area.
Slow down and prepare to turn right. Take care. Dangerous traffic.
Turn right into Calle Argelia and continue along Calle Argelia passing Calle Tanzania on your right.
Stay on Calle Argelia passing Calle Tunez on your right.
Slow down as you approach Calle Uganda.
At the junction of Calle Uganda and Calle Argelia you have reached the circle.
