As the GM was comprehensively lost trying to follow coordinates on his satnav (take note Master Bates), Deputy GM Flakey took the circle.
The run went down into the valley and up the other side, through the new building site for 250 ‘square box’ futuristic villas, and up to the Beer Stop. That was the good bit! After the Beer Stop came a fiendishly long Check Back (all back uphill) to the Beer Stop, which had packed up and was disappearing out of sight.
The reason soon became clear – the Hare needed to lay the ‘in’ trail from the Beer Stop back along the ‘out’ trail. On In was pretty boring down the road back to Casa Rushdie. Some Hashers stopped to tend to a sorry-looking abandoned dog along the way – no idea what happened to it!
By the time the circle was called, the real GM had found his way. The run was scored at 8.7 and the Hare duly rewarded. Up Yer Bum kept the ice warm for constant nattering in the circle and was then awarded a DD for getting her car towed. Lee Marvin and Gobichov also received DDs for refusing to kiss each other. Another DD went to Golden Cascade for attempting to impersonate Lip Service and Lilo Lil – at the same time!

Directions: Via Camino Viejo de Coin. Enter Mijas Golf main road, pass the old Byblos Hotel and Golf Club. At main round about take first exit right, and immediately turn right into calle Londres. Drive down this road for about 100 meters and take first left up. This junction has some bins on the side plus an electricity pole with “Loma de Flamenco” written on it. Drive up about 1km and turn left at first possible junction (sign posted: Acceso viviendas). Pick up hash signs from here.
