The second run from this dynamic duo in consecutive weeks, again pulling out all the Covid stops to provide Mijas Hashers a great run in the Campo.
Restrictions still in place with social distancing, face coverings and a limit on how many can meet from different households wasn't going to stop these two from giving us all a decent workout,and a few Cuba Libre cocktails at the second beer stop.
Some Gringer bread men and christmas trees ended up on the table, but i'm informed these were from the fair hands of Gangbang, our only remaining Russian nerve agent expert on the Hash. Please wash your hands and remain vigilant at all times.
Starting early has many advantages, it gets you out of bed,you can skip lunch and endulge in Hash snacks,or just wait for the blow out after the trail and go for the full monty at the on on.
Sixteen runners turned up, including Choirboy and Hanover hangover, or something like that from Germany, and now located here in Mijas, French Errection also managing to free herself from the fatherland,and a new face from Glasgow, now a student in Barcelona and a relation of our own Sandra Bollocks.
We started from some waste ground close to Cerros del Aguila, fought our way through some formidable campo to get to the Beer stop, close to the top of Cerros Aguila golf course with amazing views of the coastline and inland mountain ranges.
The beer always goes down well after you've earned it, falling for the check backs and a few split trails along the way means there is no guilty feeling necking a can, as we waited for everyone to arrive.
Muzzlli'm had kindly given me a head start on the way to the beer stop, but I still had to scramble my way through some unfarmilar grounnd, in what was old stomping grounds to we vetrans of Mijas, I recalled having set a few runs from the top of the hill as did Stiffany and Colonic and Gangbang.
The shortest of loops passing the Donkey sanctury led to the Cocktail stop, two choices of rum to make a Cuba Libre to wash down the last Gringerbread man.
Then the downhill slalom to the circle,more salty snacks and a few beers while Colonic, the RA, got his teeth into punishing the Germans for flouting travel restrictions, since when has Coin been in Mijas etc and a few songs as I fell off my rock into the surounding nettles, missed by the RA as i'm sure it was worth a Down Down.
Then as we were being rushed by the resturaunt Colonic had to seize the moment and name our virgin on his first ever run, no flour available so beer and broken Hoola Hoops saved the day, "you will no longer be known as Sandra Bollock's nephew Neil pronounced Nail, you will now be known as....

Arsecelona" to which most of us rightly reponded with a burst of Freddie Murcury ARSECELONA !!!another Hash song for the future.
on on to the Hoyo 19 for an elfresco dinner with free wine, even Mr Flakes had dragged himself from
his Covid isolation watching Everton to join us. Some seriously large meat on a stick portions, you could have choked a Goat with.

SPECIAL SARS COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to current Junta rules in legal force please note that this Run is ONLY open to residents of the Municipality of Mijas. Should rules be amended to include Fuengirola with Mijas then Fuengirola Hashers are welcome to attend.
The Run has been set to account for the new rules and appropriate measures have been taken at the Circle and beer stop to ensure social distancing and limited groups of 6. If any Hasher feels at risk from such gathering then the Hares advise you NOT to attend.

Directions:
Please use Google Map location to Circle. There is a patch of ground just off Calle Buitre where you can park your vehicle. The actual Circle and Beer Wagon (my AUDI Estate) will be a minutes walk from there. Please look out for fellow Hasher cars and HHH signs.
From A7 get off at the McDonalds / Aqua Mijas waterpark exit by Fuengirola. It is a double roundabout either side of the A7. You need to be on the Mijas side and take the A-7053 exit towards Mijas Golf/Coin. Keep straight on that road until you can cross the river on your left by the Restaurant Hoyo 19 and before the Venta La Morena. Keep left for 500 metres until you reach a forked junction. Car park will be at that junction. Follow HHH signs in.
Alternative route if coming down from Mijas is to cross the river on the A-7053 by the Restaurant Hoyo 19 and the Venta La Morena. Keep left once across and follow rough road for 500 meters until you reach the forked junction. Car park will be near that junction. Follow HHH signs in.

We have used this popular Hash venue before that is the Restaurant Hoyo 19. “The Dream Team” have, for your delight, brokered a great deal, which given the harsh commercial times should not be missed. We have also reserved 3 tables.
If we can confirm 12 or more Hashers at the OnOn, they will provide half bottle of Red or White wine free of charge. All other drinks and the expansive Sunday food selection will be as priced per menu. So Hashers less than 12 attendees, no free wine.
