Hash Narrative:

This run was probably one of the most dangerous we did so far. Two ended in hospitals (including me). Past abandoned houses, attacking dogs and over open manhole covers. But lets start at the beginning:

After having a good nicholas breakfast at home, we were looking forward to an exciting run and meeting all the lovely hashers. Well...to be honest, we were pretty scared.

The meeting point was right at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas and since we knew that Just Say When had not participated in a run for three weeks and thus had the chance to prepare a typical Just Say When run, we would have bet our a** on it that it goes up the mountain around 1000 meters in altitude and thus could be a little exhausting.

All the more we were all amazed that after about 200 meters up the hill the way went more or less downhill. Across woods and actually also through a lovely (but no thanks, we are too fucking fat for that) canal across a part of the beautiful meadows of the Alhaurin Golf Club and past some abandoned houses, finally arriving at the first beerstop where the typical hashy snacks and drinks have been served. There was a beautiful view in the direction of the coast.

The whole time I had the feeling that today is not really my day. First I was one of the only ones who came in on Just Say When's funny excursion around an abandoned house, then we crossed a flock of sheep and the dogs. They showed little interest in Kindergardencop, really wanted some fresh meat 😊.

It all finally ended with me running into the only stone lying there on a perfectly straight road...but rather like the footballers when you show in slow motion how their ankles burst in all directions from coming up the wrong way. This sad story ended in hospital number one this day…in Benamadena.

Nothing broken but with a few torn ligaments.

Having run over the rockiest of trails in some time we then came to a tarmacced road.

Hearing a shout from behind me I turned around to see Hangover sliding with one foot on a stone and the other being dragged along behind her. A nasty accident indeed.

At this point a car came along and told us that we were on private property. However he did transport Hangover to the gate where she was picked up by Karma C.

The run then continued to the mulled wine stop. This was most welcome on such an exceptionally cold dday. After the Wine Stop we continued over the road to return to the circle.

But there was to be one more incident before the circle was reached. Frenchy … fell managing to smash her face on the only rock around amongst all the lovely, soft pine needles. Off she went to a clinic.

The day was the coldest that anyone could recollect snd so the circle was short.

Thereafter some of us repaired to the nearest restraunt, La Boma, while others went to El Brujo.

This Wikiloc trail was submitted by Sir Flakey whose irrational obsession with a minor football team near Liverpool tempers his usual enthusiasm for hashing. "Made by a serious short cutter😊"

The hares feel it does not accurately represent their herculean efforts to set an outstanding trail on the day. Accordingly they have asked that the following disclaimer be added.(ed)

“This doesn't represent any run we set. A super short cutters version, well less than half.”
